Advances in Mobile Communication

About the Series

This series focuses on the publication of monographs and edited collections that examine the role of mobile communication in society. The rapid growth of mobile communication has resulted in a variety of social consequences, technological convergences (i.e., Internet, social media), and methodological innovations. This series is a venue that captures the different dimensions of this development in the North as well as in the Global South. It includes high-quality, imaginatively conceived, rigorously researched, and well-written books that cover the interaction of mobile technology, with culture, media, society, and communication. It allows mobile communication scholars to work out their ideas on a broader canvas and it encourages younger scholars to pursue their work in the extended format afforded in books. It aims to capture a readership that is eager for both adventurous, but conceptually founded discussions of mobile communication just as it encourages new voices, new ideas, and new approaches to the study of mobile communication in society.
