Routledge Focus on English-Medium Instruction in Higher Education

About the Series

The series pulls together experts from around the world who are at the cutting edge of research on EMI within higher education. It presents a balance of research-oriented voices and evidence-based practical guidance for EMI implementation. Contributions will address the phenomenon of EMI from a range of international contexts.

The books in the series focus on contemporary developments in the field, providing concise, up-to-the-minute perspectives and examples to those involved in EMI planning and implementation. This series accepts proposals for books in two formats. The Routledge Focus short-form format is an excellent choice for shorter topics (up to 45,000 words) that reflect the quickly changing EMI research environment. When the topic requires more in-depth analysis, proposals for full-length monographs (up to 100,000 words) will be considered. Please clearly indicate which format you are planning when you submit your proposal.
